Screen Printing

Screen printing is the most popular choice for printed hoodies. It creates bright colors and high-quality prints that last a long time. The most cost-effective choice for bulk orders of 12+ comes from volume-based pricing.

embroidery

Embroidery

Embroidery uses high-quality thread to create a clean, professional look that won’t fade over time. Ideal for simple logos and text. Add your logo to the left chest for a classic look, or place it across the front for a subtle, modern style.

applique print

Applique

Appliqué combines laser-cut fabric with embroidery to create a premium varsity look. This method is perfect for spirit-wear and retail designs. We complete all appliqué in-house, so you will have a truly custom product.

Expert Tips for Ordering Custom Hooded Sweatshirts

Smart tips from our team to help you get the best value, fit, and results from your personalized hoodie order.

Think Outside the (Design) Box

While front printing is the most popular option, creative print locations can make your hoodie stand out. We offer printing on the left chest, down the sleeve, across the sleeve, lower back, and even on the hood. If you don’t see the option you want in our online design tool, reach out to our customer service team — we’re happy to help.

Consider Design Size Restrictions

You can mix and match styles in one order to unlock better pricing, but hoodie front pockets affect print size. Standard front prints measure about 12.5 inches wide by 14 inches tall, while pockets limit height to 11 inches. Tell our team if hoodies are planned, and we’ll size artwork perfectly for future hoodie orders.

Don't Skip Product Descriptions and Size Charts

Hoodies come in many fits — standard, boxy, oversized, and fitted. Each product includes detailed sizing and fit information. Reviewing these details helps ensure your group gets the right fit. If you’re unsure, our team is always happy to help.

You Can Mix & Match Decoration Methods

For a unique look, combine embroidery and printing. A popular option is an embroidered left chest with a screen printed back, keeping costs lower while delivering a premium feel and giving you greater creative flexibility.

Frequently Asked Questions about Creating Customized Hoodies

A standard hooded sweatshirt typically has a layer of fleece on the inside of a smoother outer face. French-terry hoodies have the same smooth outer face, but a looped material on the inside. This results in a more breathable hoodie, so it will wear cooler. We sometimes describe french terry hooded sweatshirts as being similar to a hefty or thick long sleeve t-shirt.

With our standard turn around, your hoodies will be delivered in less than two weeks - guaranteed! Need it faster? DTG (direct-to-garment) is a full-color digital print that goes straight onto the garment—similar to how a printer works at home, just on fabric instead of paper. It prints in high detail and works best on cotton-heavy garments because the ink is water-based.

DTF (direct-to-film) also produces vibrant, detailed full-color prints, but the process is different. The design is printed onto a carrier film, then applied to the garment with a heat press. Because of that, DTF can be used on almost any fabric.

If you’re wondering about feel: DTF usually has a slightly more transfer-like finish, while DTG tends to feel closer to screen printing.
