Keep A Child Alive (KCA)

- What does Keep a Child Alive (KCA) do?
Grammy award winner Alicia Keys and AIDs activist Leigh Blake started KCA in 2003 to help deliver life-saving medications to children senselessly dying of AIDs in Africa. Today, the non-profit organization supports 70,000 people annually by providing financial and programmatic support including AIDS education and treatment. Grassroots organizations are located in Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa, Uganda, and India.
- Is AIDS help still needed today?
Although AIDs is not making headlines, it is still claiming lives. Currently, there are 36.7 million people living with HIV, and over 2.1 million new infections diagnosed annually. A startling 54 percent of infected people are unable to access the treatment they need. Thankfully, medications now exist to enable people infected with AIDs to live longer, healthier lives, and KCA is helping to deliver those medications.
