A traditional snapback trucker cap has a mid to high profile cap height on the front as well as a structured, more rigid front. A dad cap will have a low profile, unstructured or flimsy front. With the popular demand of both, you can now get hats that are a low profile, unstructured front, with a snapback!
The only difference is the type of adjustable closure. A standard dad cap will have a tri-glide buckle closure where as the items on this page have a snapback. Both are typically preferred over velcro (or hook and loop) because your hair does not get stuck in it!
