Grey by Day

In regular lighting, reflective ink appears as a soft grey print that seamlessly blends into your design. It offers a clean, understated look, functioning just like standard ink when not exposed to direct light.

Reflective by Light

When light hits it—whether from headlights, a camera flash, or a phone—it lights up and reflects back toward the source. This creates a high-visibility, eye-catching effect, perfect for safety, nighttime visibility, or adding a fun visual pop.

Reflective Screen Printing: Design & Printing Limitations

Limits Fabrics Choices

If your design uses only reflective ink, we can print it on nearly any fabric. However, if your design combines reflective ink with other inks, the garments must be at least 80% cotton to prevent the fabric color from mixing with the ink color.

Reflctive Ink is a Non Solid,
Semi-Transparent Ink

Reflective ink is less opaque and solid than our other ink colors, which means the shirt may show through, resulting in a slightly grainy or textured look. Opting for a light-colored shirt can help
minimize this effect.

Designs Must Contain No Halftones or Small Details

Reflective ink is printed using a special mesh with larger holes. This means tiny details or designs with small dots, like halftones, can’t be printed. But don’t worry—our team will adjust your artwork to ensure it works perfectly with this ink!

  • While metallic inks provide a shiny finish, reflective ink is specifically designed to enhance visibility in low-light environments.
  • Reflective ink shows up best on darker garments, where the contrast makes the reflective effect more noticeable. Black, navy, charcoal, and deep colors tend to produce the strongest visual impact.
  • Reflective ink is a great fit for: Safety and workwear, Nighttime events, runs, and festivals, School clubs, teams, and spirit wear.
  • To maintain the reflective quality of your design, wash garments inside-out in cold water and avoid high-heat drying.
  • Reflective ink works best with simple, bold designs that allow the reflective particles to do their job. Larger shapes and clean lines produce the strongest reflective effect.
  • Reflective ink is considered a specialty print process, so additional costs will apply.
