Amanda the Panda offers free<\/em> grief support to children and families in Iowa who have experienced the death of a loved one. \u201cAmanda the Panda\u2019s mission is to restore grieving children and families back into the mainstream of their lives through innovative services that provide hope and healing,\u201d explains Blair Rosenberg, Amanda the Panda Development Coordinator.<\/p>\n

Broken Arrow Prints Cool T-Shirts For Fundraising Events<\/h2>\n

The photo\u2019s shown are from Amanda the Panda\u2019s Annual Panda Bar Ride held last Saturday, October 1. Broken Arrow T-Shirt Printing and Embroidery is proud to print the T-Shirts for this important fundraising event.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Panda Bar Ride is an annual bike ride event that raises awareness and funds for the nonprofit Amanda the Panda,\u201d Blair continues. <\/em><\/strong>\u201cAll proceeds go toward programming support for Amanda the Panda\u2014programs that include yearlong, no-cost grief services for children, families. and adults that have experienced the death of a loved one. The PBR event draws a fun crowd that believes in the Amanda the Panda mission!\u201d<\/p>\n

Broken Arrow Believes in Amanda the Panda, too. Grieving children are extremely likely to develop behavior disorders, substance abuse, or depression resulting in suicide. Startlingly, ninety percent of children and teens will face the death of sibling, relative, or close friend before they finish high school. Bereavement support makes a significant and positive impact. When bereavement support is available, grieving children are 20 times less likely<\/em> to develop behavior disorders, 10 times less likely<\/em> to develop substance abuse issues, and 5 times less likely<\/em> to commit suicide.<\/p>\n
